The brenne national park: the local area is perfect for walking, cycling, fishing, and bird watching (it is a haven for wild life and is particularly popular with bird watchers as some 300 species of birds have been spotted within the park). There is also quad biking and horse riding available in the park and the theme park futuroscope is within an hours drive. Bathing: bellebouche the beach in the heart of france is one of the most beautiful lakes of the brenne. It has a hundred hectares of water with nine hundred metres of white sandy beach. There is safe bathing for young children and also a marina with pedal boats and facilities for sailing and windsurfing. There are also fish ponds, nature trails, play parks and a snack bar/restaurant. Le blanc also has an outside public swimming pool that is open during the main season.
